For these activity you will have to do some research you can access different websites, dictionaries or  even books.

Prepare a pictionary of 10 idioms, for each idiom you should include:


Idiom, meaning of the idiom, two sentences using the idiom (write the sentences do not copy them) and a picture that illustrates one of your sentences. 



This homework should be sent by email.

    When I become profesional I will like to be a fat cat.
    The president of the Central Bank is a fat cat.

    2) A blank look (when the people have an expressionless look)
    When my sister told my parents she was pregnant, they gave her a blank look.
    When the police hit the man, everybody was with a blank look.

    3) A crash course (it is like a intensive course)
    He needs to take a crash course of portuguese because he is going to Brazil.
    When she was in France she had to take a crash course of french because she didn’t knew anything about french.

    4) Mellow out (to relax and stop worrying about things)
    When she says that feels better, I mellow out.
    After a long time, he can feel mellow out.

    5) Lose your marbles (become crazy or mentally confused)
    When she is in final tests, she lose her marbles.
    I lost my marbles when I knew the sad news.

    6) In my shoes (like be in the other person situation)
    If I were in your shoes, I won’t hit that man.
    You have to be in her shoes to understand her.

    7) Zip it (a rude or angry way to say someone to stop talking)
    You talk so much, just zip it.
    Zip it, is what she said in the meeting when everbody was talking so loud.

    8) Little bird told me (say somenthing that one person told you, to another person)
    A Little bird told me that you are pregnant.
    She told me that a Little bird told her that I am goin to have a big surprise.

    9) True as Steel (very loyal and dependable)
    After all her problems, her husband has been as true as a Steel.
    Even he has betrayed her, she is true as Steel.

    10) Footle around (to spend time doing uninportant things)
    Now I am like footle around because I am on vacation.
    She is always footle around, because she does not like to do important things.
